As always Gladiators…
Transcript:
Every Inch promo plays with great review quotes in the background for Scandal…
Narrator: It’s one of the best, juiciest, most addictive, and most original drama on network TV right now.
Olivia to Quinn: You’ll be surprise what powerful people can get away with. (Note: Nothing new about this moment.)
Fitz is seen throwing stuff off his Oval Office desk. (Note: No worries this is another old clip!)
Narrator: And three weeks from tonight.
Fitz: I love you. (Note: #UnashamedFangirlMoment for Fitz saying this!)
Olivia to Fitz: You’re having me followed. Watched! There are cameras in my apartment. That’s not love!
Huck flashback montage where it flashback to Huck being inside a box!
Narrator: Your new obsession. (Note: Alright then who is the person behind this voice? I need answers!)
Olivia to Huck: We all do terrible things.
Narrator: it’s about to get –
Harrison (spots baseball cap Charlie and runs off after him): Hey!
Narrator: Real!
Mellie to Fitz: Life as you know it is over.
Narrator: Scandal returns all new April 25th on ABC.
My initial Reaction to this promo trailer:
(GIF H/T: kronosinasuit)
There are NO words!
Observations:
- There’s not much to add onto the emotion behind Fitz telling Olivia I Love You. (Sighs!)
- It’s quite interesting as Olivia tells Fitz “That’s Not Love”, the promo trailer cuts to the time Jake sees Olivia hide the memory card right before Osbourne came to her apartment. (Smoking gun much? She must know it’s missing right? Maybe Jake put it back after he reviewed it?)
- We also get a Huck flashback to a time when he was placed into a box. Remember what Huck said about being in box last season? I’m going to assume that Seven Fifty-Two relates to three possible things: the amount of hours he spent inside the box, the number of days he spent inside the box or it could also mean that amount of people he “off” while a trained CIA agent/associate. (Speculation is mighty fun. What else can we do to stretch out this 3 week long hiatus, right? I see you Huck with a smooth baby face in that flashback! But I digress!)
- According to the press release for this episode which you can read by scrolling down or up a bit, you’ll know that this episode we will get to learn about Huck’s past. We’re going to see how Huck went from looking like he did in that box to Hagrid Huck to now. I’m here for all of it!
- Also notice how there’s a clip of Huck pointing a gun to a person tied up on the ground. (Training day?)
- There’s a close up of Harrison. Let me repeat that again. There’s a close up of Harrison (in my Olivia Pope voice!) #UnashamedFangirlMoment
- SSA Hal is standing guard behind Harrison! (Where’s Tom?)
- Charlie’s at the hospital. I’m going to assume he’s scooping around to report back to Cyrus. (And he’s entering a elevator! We know how well elevators worked inthe past. Coughs Billy Chambers!)
- Because of Harrison’s attention to detail swag, he chases down Charlie (the baseball cap guy from the storage unit the very place where Quinn found Huck in a box.). Harrison is NOT wasting any time! Get them Brolivia Pope! Get them!
- We know from the script tease that OPA knows something’s up with Huck and Olivia getting hurt on the SAME night. I mean what are the odds of that happening, right? Quinn also think it’s the baseball cap guy behind it all. All I do know is that OPA is on it and it’s about to go down!
- Is it possible to have shade without smiling because that is what Fitz is serving in that look to Mellie after she said to him, “Life as you know is over.”
- Anyone else noticed how Huck pinned someone that looks a WHOLE lot like Harrison to a car? Was this a mind trip or what? It could be a flashback too for all we know! Speculation!
- Olivia was that person to Huck. I loved that she told him that “we all do terrible things.”
- Fitz at the hospital at Olivia is going to be good to watch as we all know about it thanks to EW: (Read the first paragraph)
- Fitz doesn’t stay much long with Olivia but he leaves his security detail with her. Peep Hal behind Harrison. Peep Olivia out in the hallway waiting to be discharged.
- 3 Weeks???? I don’t mind it at all. They’re JUST wrapped 220. They have to film 221 and the finale. I’m for all of it! The BTS tweets, vines, pinterest, photos – EVERYTHING!
#Scandal219 Press Release
HUCK’S PAST IS REVEALED, ON ABC’S “SCANDAL”
Jasika Nicole Guest Stars as Kim
“Seven Fifty-Two” – Secrets from Huck’s life before Pope and Associates are revealed, Olivia and Fitz engage in an emotionally charged conversation, unaware of the fact that someone could be watching, and Olivia’s team comes together to help one of their own. Meanwhile, Cyrus is becoming increasingly skeptical of Jake, and Mellie makes a decision that could bring down the White House, on “Scandal,” THURSDAY, APRIL 25 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
“Seven Fifty-Two” was written by Mark Fish and directed by Allison Liddi-Brown.
Mark Fish wrote this episode? (Happy dance!)
Here’s what WE Do know about #Scandal219 *(Better known as the real reason why I do the decoding – Speculation fun!)
- Jasika Nicole will guest star in this episode as confirmed by Shonda Rhimes on twitter. She will play Kim!
- Columbus Short & Katie Lowes tweeted this episode is going to be top notch after they wrapped the table read.
- Shonda Rhimes shared that there was a lot of crying for the #Scandal219 table read.
- Jasika Nicole shared this beautiful, must-see insight on her #Scandal219 table read experience.
- There’s a HUGE Costume Fitting for Kerry Washington which means something delicious scandalous is about to go down! (Tony Goldwyn also had a fitting for a scene that he’s doing with KW!)
- We just might get our first glimpse of Karen and Jerry in THIS episode!
Fringe star Jasika Nicole will guest star in this episode.
Here’s the spoiler scoop on her:
Can you feed my Scandal addiction and give me some spoilers? — Nicole
Given your name, howzabout I drop this bit on you, regarding Fringe alum Jasika Nicole’s mysterious guest-starring role: Her character has a deep connection to an existing character.
Another spoiler:

Question: Please, Scandal withdrawal is killing me. Anything related to the show is greatly appreciated. —Mateo
Ausiello: How about some new intel on the mysterious character Jasika Nicole is playing? TVLine previously scooped that the Fringe vet’s alter ego has “a deep connection to an existing character.” Well, the preview snippet ABC just released for her episode — airing April 25 — includes this telltale line: “Secrets from Huck’s life before Pope and Associates are revealed.” You thinking what I’m thinking?!
Here’s what Jasika had this to say about the Table Read Experience:
Feeling pretty overwhelmed right now. You always think your most important moments will be your biggest moments- the ones when you get “the call” or do “the thing” or get “the acknowledgement”. Today my most important moment wasn’t the call or the job or the attention. It was the table read. I walked onto the Scandal stages and felt like I was at a party- actors and producers and crew members milling around laughing and joking with eachother. A really warm and inviting atmosphere. I asked one of the actors, “Is it like this for EVERY table read?” They announced all the guest stars joining the show for this episode and then everyone in the cast and crew applauded us. It felt like a hug. Then a read thru of one of the most moving, heartbreaking scripts I have ever read. Shonda and Kerry, two black women RUNNING SHIT with such grace and confidence, hugged me hard and made me feel special and appreciated. Clearly they have no idea that the pleasure is 100% all mine. I feel so thankful and excited and honored to have been asked to join their family, even for a little while.
Tweets on #Scandal219:
BIG Costume Fitting for KW…and Tony…
Scott Foley had this to share:
THR: When will Olivia find out about who Jake really is?
Foley: It will be a while before Olivia finds out who Jake really is. A lot of what the audience wants her to find out — the questions that are already — will be answered within the next two episodes. Jake can’t keep every secret from her. Within the next two episodes, huge secrets will be revealed. There was a table read for episode 218 or 219 where everybody gasped at a certain point in this story line. There’s an amazing moment coming where some major questions are answered for Olivia about Jake and she has the same reaction that the audience has had when they found out.
Note: I think that gasp was for Olivia’s concussion and Huck in a box in 218 but I’ll leave this right here in case it also means for 219. Speculation is fun, right?
The Official Scandal Set Design Blog offered a first look at a young woman’s apartment:
Bellamy tweeted this:
A Cyrus and James love scene may be happening in 219 OR 220. According to ALL of this from Shonda Rhimes to NY Post:
On Rhimes’ latest drama, the spicy, intrigue-laden “Scandal,” she features two male characters who are married — the sixtyish Chief of Staff, Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) and a younger reporter, James Novak (Dan Bucatinsky). “It’s not a thing. We’re not making a massive statement,” she says. “ Here’s a three-dimensional character who happens to be gay.”
Rhimes’ commitment to diversity has received the full support of Disney, which owns ABC. Never did she receive a panicked phone call from an executive, or a note demanding script changes.
“No one ever said, ‘You can’t do that.’ We really didn’t have any problems,” she says. Granted, she says, “It’s network television. It’s not like I can show a bunch of stuff.” All in all, she says, “It’s been lovely.”
On “Scandal,” there will be an upcoming love scene between the two men, in episodes “19 or 20,” she says. And there was one scene where the two men had to get completely naked because Cyrus thought James was wearing a wire. But no one had a stroke.

#Hi Gladiators we got treated to another NEW promo trailer for #Scandal219, “Seven Fifty-Two” and LAWD THERE ARE NO WORDS!
As always Gladiators….
Transcript:
Down at James Madison Hospital, Fitz reaches in to give Olivia a kiss.
Olivia to Fitz: Stop it. Please Stop.
Fitz: Liv.
Olivia: I hate you.
Fitz: I know.
Olivia: I don’t forgive you.
Promo cuts to the time when Jake and Olivia had that shuffle in his apartment which lead to Olivia’s concussion. It also cuts to Jake watching Olivia in her apartment before it cuts back to Fitz at the hospital asking Jake about what happened.
Jake: She was attacked.
Fitz: Did you see who it was?
Jake: No. (Me: LIES!)
Narrator: Two weeks from tonight. TV’s most scandalous love triangle (Me: WTF?!)
Promo cuts to Fitz walking up behind Olivia. Promo then cuts to the White House where Mellie says the following to Cyrus.
Mellie to Cyrus: He hasn’t left her side…
Narrator: ..is turning into one dangerous…
The promo then cuts to Huck knocking the daylights out of someone in a parking lot. The promo then cuts to HARRISON who spots baseball cap guy and chases him down. If you hit the pause button at this moment, you’ll see Hal is back and you’ll see Olivia hanging out of her hospital room on a bed.
Narrator: HOT
Promo cuts to Fitz saying the following to Olivia inside her hospital room.
Fitz to Olivia: Do you still love me?
Narrator: MESS!
Promo cuts to Olivia jumping out of her bed to say all of this to Fitz.
Olivia: You had me followed! Watched! That’s not love!
Narrator: With only three new episodes until the season finale.
Promo cuts to the most telling montage sequence. There’s Jake outside of Olivia’s hospital room. There’s OPA Harrison, Abby and Quinn going huh at OPA headquarters. There’s flashback Huck screaming inside a box. There’s Harrison chasing after Charlie. There’s Jake hovering over Olivia from Scandal218 after she passes out. Fitz returns back to the White House and this is where the promo ends…
Mellie to Fitz: Life as you know it is over.
Narrator: Scandal all new Thursday April 25th on ABC!
Observations (Better known as my Speculation Thoughts):
- Olivia says to Fitz “I hate you” and he says he knows. This is definitely a different dynamic than “I hate you too”, isn’t it? (This Shakespearean tango that Olitz dances to has got my emotions on a roller coaster high!) This scene is going to be IT!
Read the first paragraph from EW…
- I’m also connecting “I Hate You” to the Rose Garden for that because it’s definitely Come on! Don’t belittle us. It’s insulting and beneath you and design to drive me away. I’m not going away.
- I’m also connecting “I Hate You” To what Fitz said to Olivia in “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” – “We are done. I may not able to control my erections around you but that doesn’t mean I want you.”
- Both are things said to drive the other away and here’s the thing it doesn’t work because Fitz stayed the night with Olivia at the hospital. He’s done. He’s in it to win it!
- Also Fitz is questioning Jake about what happened to his Livvie and Jake continues on with his deception. (Jake really, really wants to push that button, doesn’t he?)
- Fitz stays the night. We get confirmation from this from Mellie: “He hasn’t left her side…” The BRIGHT sunlight pouring into Olivia’s hospital room also confirms that Fitz stays the night at the hospital to be there with Olivia. This statement now makes “Life as you know is over” all the more sense, doesn’t it?
- Additional thoughts: We got treated to Olivia whipping her hair! (WERK!) We got treated to Fitz coming up behind Olivia! (YESSS!) Mellie’s not wearing her signature pearl necklace! Hmmm….
- There’s smooth babyface Huck in a parking garage.
- Speaking of Huck we do know that Olivia talks to him at some point in the episode, “We all do terrible things.” Peep her hairstyle! It’s the same look from her hospital scene with Fitz. That’s not a flashback moment at all!
- PLUS Olivia returns home and she’s in a Gladiator mode with her phone according to this promo photo from EW. Jake visits her at home to possibly see how she’s doing or to return her things she left at his apartment….
- Jake is seen meeting up with his Mole buddy (Joe Morton) in BROAD DAYLIGHT!!! (The ease of their body language is quite troubling isn’t it?)
- Huck is seen in the hallway of possibly the CIA operative headquarters with what looks like Charlie!
- Huck is then seen screaming inside a box! (#HugsforHuck!)
- OPA’s Harrison, Quinn and Abby is seen giving someone the side-eye…or better yet giving “Is he okay” look. I’m going to assume based off EW’s Script Tease spoiler that they are looking at Huck when he starts repeating “Seven Fifty-Two” over and over again.
- Olivia is seen on the phone. WHO IS SHE CALLING??? Jake? Cyrus? OPA? (Logistically I think Olivia’s on the phone with OPA’s Harrison before he gets to the hospital. He probably told her about the Huck situation. Look at Olivia’s face. Scroll back up on my theory on how Olivia gets her phone back! I think at this point this is where the Huck flashback montage will factor in.)
- Jake is seen outside of Olivia’s hospital room looking over his back. AWW HELL NAW THAT IS HE WEARING A NAVY T-SHIRT!!! (The inner fangirl in me is saying that our fandom tee-shirt is now ruined! #UnderstandTheHumorHEREGladiators!!!) But I digress, I think Jake’s on his way out and either Harrison chasing after Charlie got his attention OR Fitz called him to ask him what happened to Olivia.
Speculation theory: Huck montage is going to be happening as we see the Olitz/OPA/Jake scenes at the hospital. It could happen as Huck repeats “Seven Fifty-Two.” Revisit my thoughts on that here.
